The Addiction Walker is the best shoe I have found for my feet. I am a heavy guy, and I spent
many years bouncing amidst shoes, attempting to get a shoe I could get numerous aid and life out of, I settled on the Rockport ProWalkers for years, but once my doctor commended Brooks, I was hooked!… They hold up very well for an each and everyday shoe, and took the pain out of my feet. I am on my third pair in a little over 2 years, in contrast to the ProWalker where I in all probability would have been in 5 pairs by now.

I commend these over Rockport ProWalkers.

Excellent shoe. I’ve been wearing them for when it comes to a year
and a half. I have neuromas in both feet and need the extra
wide toe box that the Men’s Brooks Addiction Walker has in
the 4E (which is actually a 4E).

My husband is a deliverance driver – on and off his feet ALL DAY, jumping in and out of the truck, pushing huge racks up and down ramps. After visiting a podiatrist because of foot pain, the doctor commended the Brooks Addiction Walker. My husband hasn’t complained of foot pain since.
This shoe does provide magnificent support and traction on most slippery surfaces. He wears this 6 days a week, so it does tend to wear rather quickly.

The price is a bit steep, but giving careful consideration to the substitute (stiff, rigid shoes with inserts which never seemed to relieve the foot pain and neverending visits to the podiatrist), we’ll recompense the price for this shoe; but buying them 3 to 4 times a year does get a bit pricey. In the stores, the price is a bit more, they have to special order, and it normally takes 2 weeks to get them.

Overall, the shoe is a good choice for anybody that ought to be on their feet all day. The four vs five stars – price and wear (although ‘normal wear’ is in all probability not suitable in my husband’s case). He does own a dissimilar pair of Brooks (Beast) that he wears to do most everything else – they have kept up gorgeous good, a year with signs of wear.
