Mens running shoes are particularly designed to bend more effortlessly in the midsole area while still providing lateral help than other kinds of athletic shoes. It’s more elaborated that that. A significant number of runners have floppy feet that over pronate, or bend, toward the body’s mid-line while running, and others have high arches that protest conforming to the shape of the ground for the duration of the weight-bearing portion of the gait cycle.

5Saucony: a outstanding discovery
By John R. Glover
My wife has two pairs of Asics , one New Balance, one Nike, and one Rockport. She likes them all to varying degrees. But she not long ago purchased through Amazon a pair of Saucony Progrid Ride 3 Running Shoes in Silver, Black, and Pink. She ordered them a half size larger than she ordinarily wears, which was a good thing to do. She liked them so much that she ordered a second pair in White, Black, and Purple. We never had remunerated much attention to this brand, but these are now her favored athletic shoes. She uses them at work and in walking and finds them to be the most comfortable of this type footwear that she has ever worn. They are made well, give magnificent support, and look sharp. Incidentally, I think the rectify pronunciation is sock’ a ne — with accent on original syllable. Most persons do not recognise the right way to say the brand’s name. As her husband, I have not yet purchased this brand of shoe, but I will consider it next time I shop for athletic shoes. In a word, they are a outstanding invention for us, and perchance you will fine it true for yourself.

5Consistently a good product: Cushioning, Quality, and Just Enough Stability
By Doctor Nurse
I’ve been running for (gasp) in regards to 20 years now, and I’ve gone back and forth among Asics and Saucony. However, as my feet have changed over years of torture (my feet injure more than anything any given day…running distance…heels…super-flat shoes; it’s done a number), I’ve been leaning to a considerable degree to Saucony. The last 5 years or so, it’s been only Saucony.

The ProGrid Ride has become my go-to. Partly because it’s in the price point I’m comfortable with (I’ve run in grid hurricanes before and gel kayano; these are just as good) and partly because it’s a consistent product. I’ve come to rely on the quality and the company’s capacity to improve upon the product each year. For example, in the 1st generation, I noticed that my toe broke through the mesh in the top of the shoe over time. In the ProGrid ride 2, this was made better; the silver part by the toe came around further. By this generation, they have reinforced the toe at that area. For them to rectify a problem before I ask (though I’m sure others asked!), it shows me that they aren’t resting on their laurels. They are more than willing to improve upon an magnificent product.

This shoe provides the right amount of stability and cushioning for me, a heavier female runner who is an apparent supinator. These don’t wear out effortlessly (I log 20-30m/week not training for a marathon). Even with the supination, the soles wore down, but not out. The cushioning broke down over time (bad, bad, runner trained in the same shoes for 3 halfs and one full marathon), as I necessitated inserts to finish the marathon with my hips, knees, and feet intact. I didn’t need the inserts I had in my shoes for my last marathon when I got these shoes. Clearly, I had run in the others for too long (I was nervous regarding altering shoes once I got to the high-mileage training runs, but it was a bad choice not to)…putting these on my feet and going out for a run made that clear.
