Very Disappointing!

I also was a HUGE fan of the Vomero 4s. Great ride, perfective amount of cushioning. I am a long distance runner and thought Nike surely wouldn’t mess up something that already works great, would they?? They did. The Vomero 5s are like wearing a wedge of cheese on each foot. The heel is much higher, and these shoes unquestionably put a lot of pressure on the forefoot and shins. It’s a completely dissimilar ride and shoe. I have no axe to grind with Nike, but I would actually like to know how they test ran this shoe, and who approved of the design??? I guess it’s back to Saucony…

Upgrades on the shoe didn’t work for me

I have the vomero 2 and 4 and love them both. The are the most comfortable running shoes I have ever owned. I was very excessively affected emotionally to get the new vomero 5, but was deeply disappointed. The biggest change is the tongue of the shoe. It is shorter than standard so the laces on occasion slip off onto the top of my foot. the tongue is likewise very stiff and the sides are hard rather of soft like the other shoes. I had to keep stopping and rearranging the tongue of the shoe because it was cutting into the top of my foot. These shoes are going back to the store and I and going to buy another pair of vomero 4s that I found online. Volmero lovers beware!
